Title: Industrial Instrument Service Technician (x2)

Wage: $40.27/ hour

Hours: Full time, 40 hour/ week

Overtime: May be required

Start date: As soon as possible

JOB DESCRIPTION

Since AB's product is an original solution, designed and manufactured in-house, a general understanding of how it works is a very important requirement. This knowledge enables the technician to carry out most maintenance activities independently and more safely. Some tasks, in particular troubleshooting, critically depend on the technician’s previous experience with the specific product.

Having completed specific technical training courses provided by the engine supplier (INNIO) is essential to this role.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide support to the Field Service Supervisor and colleagues, monitoring and maintenance activities related to plants of the assigned area.
  • Assure the continuous and correct operation of the plant.
  • Inspect operation of instruments and systems
  • Repair and adjust system components
  • Remove and replace defective parts
  • Logical approach for troubleshooting
  • Install new measuring instruments
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work
  • Read blueprints to determine work requirements
  • Complete test and maintenance reports
  • Calibrate components and instruments
  • Determine testing and maintenance procedures
  • Coach and mentor apprentices

REQUIREMENTS

  • Language skills: English
  • Additional language skills: Italian an asset.
  • Education: A minimum of a high school diploma, additional education an asset
  • Mandatory Experience: A minimum of 2 years experience:
  • Industrial instruments servicing, Petroleum, coal and gas products, INNIO specific training.

Employees must be in possession of a valid passport without restrictions. 

Travel is required to our other Canadian branches
